RoHS :Restriction of Hazardous Substance
RoHS Description:
EU completed electrical and electronic equipment waste processing instructions on November 8, 2002, and defined with a formal announcement on February 13, 2003, to limit the use of six hazardous substances, lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, brominated flame retardants in the the electrical and electronic industry. The main goal of the EU to develop this specification was to reduce the waste of electrical and electronic equipment and establish the recycling and re-use system, thereby reducing the possible harm and impact for the human body and the environment in disposal, landfill and incineration of these substances.
The content restrictions of the six RoHS substances:
In single homogeneous materials, ( Homogeneous ))
(Pb)≦0.1 % =1000ppm
(Hg)≦0.1 % =1000ppm
(Cd)≦0.01 % =100ppm
(Cr6+)≦0.1 % =1000ppm
(PBBs)≦0.1 % =1000ppm
(PBDEs)≦0.1 % =1000ppm
◎ single homogeneous material is the material which can not be further disassembled in a mechanical way.
